Abhishek has headed Client Servicing at Jack in the Box for over a year, managing a number of clients including Nivea, Epic, and Louis Philippe. He is perfectly positioned to take on the extended role of Mumbai Business Head. Prior to joining Jack in the Box he was with BBH, Publicis Ambience, Contract, Ogilvy and Hanmer MS&L.
Mairu has extensive experience of over a decade in digital marketing and mainstream advertising, having worked with start-ups and agencies across categories for clients such as Unilever, Coke, Intel, Taco Bell, HDFC, Xerox, MTS, Mother Dairy, Fiat and Bata. He was most recently at SapientNitro as India Marketing Lead. Previously he started his own digital agency, Bluesprint Inc. and later went on to work with Simply Audiobooks, Saatchi & Saatchi and Rediffusion Y&R.
On this new dual Business Head structure and the setting up of the Delhi office, Roopak Saluja, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, The 120 Media Collective says:
The value a Delhi-Gurgaon presence will bring to our PepsiCo mandate is unquestionable. While that’s the immediate driver of the decision, we’ll be pitching agressively and responding to long-time requests to establish a presence there, allowing us to ramp up to a mid-size office by the end of the year.
This dual decentralized structure makes perfect sense in the evolution of JITB, lead by two very competent professionals who are not only extremely passionate about delivering strategic and creatively excellent work but have proven abilities in nurturing client relationships with a long-term strategic view. Most of all, we’re all on the same page about striving to evolve our output from digital communications solutions to media-agnostic business solutions with digital at the core, something we’re getting better at every day.
Heather Gupta, Chief Talent Officer, The 120 Media Collective says"
Expanding into Delhi is a natural progression for us. Jack in the Box has a strong set of clients, an outstanding reputation for delivering inspiring creative solutions, and a great bunch of people already on board in our Mumbai office.
We are delighted to be able to expand our footprint, geographically, and I am confident that under Mairu's leadership, our Delhi office will soon become a force to be reckoned with.
Abhishek Razdan, Sr. Vice President & Business Head, Mumbai
It's been over a year, for me at Jack In the Box and I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment of it. During this time, we have worked very hard and done a lot of ground work. Today, we have a great set of clients and our engagement with them is at a strategic and business level, beyond tactical, shortterm stuff. Our ambition is to make Jack in the Box the first choice amongst clients looking for media agnostic solutions.
On his appointment, Mairu Gupta says
I'm really excited to join an extremely talented and energetic bunch of jacks. We hope to kick some serious ass in the coming months and create magic in the Delhi office as well. Having worked across both mainline and digital forms of advertising, I've realized that ideas don't work in isolation.
Our vision is to create ideas that are media agnostic and tightly integrated with brand positioning. We are not a social media agency, or a digital or ATL or BTL agency. We are driven to solve business problems for brands by creating great ideas and content across platforms.
