YouTube has released an update in regards to homepage interface for the desktop, introducing features like bigger thumbnails.
YouTube is revamping it's desktop website's interface, introducing various features to better the viewing experience of the users. The updated design is being rolled out across desktop and YouTube adds on Android and iOS tablets. One of the most prominent change is that the thumbnails will now appear bigger on the home screen.
The video streaming website is also making it easier to find the next video to watch. Video titles will be longer and larger, thumbnails richer with information. The cleaner design will allow users to get a better idea about the video at a first glance. Further, users will see channel icons below each video, making it easier to recognise their favourite creators and content.
Users will get better control over customising the queue of videos they wish to watch next, without interrupting the one they are watching at the moment.
Earlier this year, YouTube had made it possible for Android users to select favourite topics and customise their home feed with related videos accordingly. This feature will soon be available on desktop and tablets too.
