It was a busy month – a month of festivities followed by the hustle of after-festivity cleaning frenzies. October had a lot to offer, giving us ample of time and inspiration to fulfill our decor yearnings.
Recapping the decor highlights of the month, Decor Chutney got in a conversation with the eminent Sarita Handa, drawing inspiration from her passion.
The festive season just concluded, which was your favorite Diwali Decor moment?
I have always been fascinated with flower arrangements and it is this one decor trend that never goes out of style.
After festive cleaning usually leaves everyone in frenzy, any tips?
Try to take it easy and enjoy the moments of joy and togetherness that the estuaries bring rather than being hassled by the very minutes details be nuances. Take out some time for yourself and your family to enjoy the fruits of all the hard work done during the festival cleaning. You can also introduce something new to try decor that makes it your happy place.
Which some of the festive decor themes that dominated this year?
The current trend is to make bold decisions within a space and yet keeping the aesthetics minimal and modern.
The evergreen trends to work with for festive season this year have been florals and heritage textile inspired motifs.
The colours for us personally have always been about a subtle neutral base accentuated with rich Indian colours. Statement yet classic.
