Looking back, where did it all begin?
My blog, Angel M Style (M stands for Meena) went live on 21st October 2015. I was unaware of its performance or if my dream of receiving love from the readers would turn into reality. However, I had the urge to be different from the rest of my contemporaries. So I decided to try my luck with blogging. My hard work and dedication started showing colors with each day passing by when my blog started attaining popularity. After being a part of the fashion world for a while I felt that my experience is worth sharing. And that's how I entered the club of fashion blogging. There were multiple challenges. For instance, I was unaware of the crowd's taste. I had no knowledge of the server for my blog nor did I have knowledge about the methods of blog promotion. I'd like to acknowledge my family and friends for supporting me through this journey. (Meena smiles)
What’s in the name?
My blog, 'Angel M Style' launched on 21st October 2015. I stood unaware of how well would it function in reality or if my dream of receiving love from the readers would turn true. But I took the chance.
What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?
All bloggers are doing their best to reserve their spot in the world of blogging. So I wouldn't like to be called better than anybody. I prefer narrating my real-life experience in the field of fashion, travel, and fitness in my personalized tone. I believe that it helps me connect well with readers. I'd also like to mention that the outfit images on the blog are mine only. This is to let my readers know that what I write is my actual experience with the product and not a promotional post. Being genuine to my readers brings uniqueness to my blog.
Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?
I stay focused and dedicated to the blog. I've set my target audience. I've also done a course on Digital Marketing. Apart from that, I'm a passionate traveler. My best friend is my partner on most of the trips which are without my family.
How do you make moolah with your efforts?
For me, blogging is a fantastic career option. Staying strongly dedicated to blogging profile and keeping it updated from time to time will generate a good amount of earning. However, recognition is something that we all strive for. Basically it’s a reward for moving beyond our limits. Their appreciation is the biggest recognition.
How do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs?
I stay focused on my blog. I provide content that is worthy and beneficial to the readers and that can add some value to their lives. You will need the support of Digital marketing experts to expand the reach of the blog. I blog about my personal style of dressing. Through my blog, I wish to bring people closer to the latest fashion trends, inspire via fitness related content and also about how one can lead a happy life.
One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile
I love being fashionable. And blogging has helped stay connected with some of the leading brands of the industry. That’s a happy episode of blogging. Once I received a mail from one of my followers “Are you an actress? Which Brand endorsements you have in your kitty?” Trust me, it’s funny but I took it as a compliment too.
