#Decor Moments that ruled December 2016
A bit of quirk here and bit of art there, the month for décor has been full of bling. Undercover, we raided Instagram with a couple of décor hashtags to fetch out the best moments that went down this last wintry festive month.
White- in the season of reds and greens
Christmas instantly puts the hues of reds and greens in our minds, but décor can be surprisingly plain and yet be jaw-dropping gorgeous. This month, we saw some non-traditional, edgy and downright classy Christmas home décor of white.
Bold and beautiful
More than often, we usually stick by the classic colors for our home decor ideas– black, white or brown keeping bright at bay. This month, we found some out-of-the-regular colors to liven up the décor space, complimented by lamps, paintings in parts and other homely embellishments.
Kitchen bar
To spice up your tiny cooking space, you can beatify with earthy, pastel jars of coffee, tea, salt, sugar and more. These jars make your kitchen look neat, sophisticated and visually pleasing.
Cozy season
Winters are snuggly. Window side comfy beds are something that are made for the wintry days- cuddle up with a book and blanket, day dream with a mug of hot cocoa or simply peep at the nature outside. The décor moments from last month witnessed plenty of window-side sitting.
Meal space
Tip 1: Make your house, home. Capturing décor moments from the past month, we discovered how brighten up your dining table space can instantly lighten up your home giving it a personal intimate touch. After all, that’s one space where friends and folks spend some quality time.
Bibliophile
The books you read define who you are and to further affix your personality to your space, beautify your book shelf. In the bountiful décor moments we caught how a bookshelf organized or messy, color coordinated or mismatched, enveloped with fairy lights or guarded by miniature superheroes, no matter what, tends to look spectacular.
Photo wall
How incredible would it be if your home looked like a beautiful artwork museum? Art does not always have to paintings of expensive artists; we caught some moments off Instagram where artwork on the wall was personal, fresh and simple. You could put your personal artwork, favorite quote, photograph or simply anything up on the wall.
Raw textures
Natural elements, pastel colors and refined rustics add on to the oomph factor to your home and that’s exactly what we saw in our recent décor moments. Fresh flowers, wooden clocks, faux deer head and tints of warm colors is what encompassed in the moments.
Candle décor
If we take a broad look at the recent décor moments, we see candles glimmering all over. Consider it was the season of snow flakes, people inculcated candles in their décor, where they made candles from scratch or simply decorated the candles and placed it anywhere and everywhere.
Faux fur
And finally, concluding our décor moments list with a little bit of fur. Décor was dominated by loads of fur- in rugs, beds, cushions and more.
Scavenging the encapsulated moments of the décor world from within Instagram, we notice how wintry components, personalized elements and vintage rustic vibe were dominant throughout.
