- Ryan Holmes, HootSuite CEO
We’ve always been big fans of Ryan Holmes and the HootSuite team, since the days we were all pioneering the Social Media landscape. We’re thrilled today to announce that Seesmic is joining HootSuite, and we’re excited for our users: they are becoming part of the HootSuite family, and they will be able to continue to build their brand and social business,”
- Loic Le Meur, Seesmic CEO
Seesmic is was a direct competitor in the social marketing management software space. Seesmic struggled to keep users interested as they kept changing their direction and and started all over again a few times. Both companies develop platforms that allow businesses to coordinate and monitor their marketing across multiple social network platforms, particularly Twitter. For now, Seesmic business users are being asked to try HootSuite Pro for a free 30-day trial, according to the company. The cost after the trial starts at $9.99 a month. HootSuite will continue to support Seesmic.
