Twitter and LinkedIn made their debut login yesterday at India’s premier engineering Institution IIT - Bombay. Both the Companies have come first time to the IIT - B and interviewed many aspirants in the campus.
Facebook had made its Indian Recruitment debut through IIT- Bombay in 2010-11 and is now a regular employer. While Twitter is a microblogging site, LinkedIn is the world's largest network of professionals. IIT-Bombay is the first among the IITs to have both in its tabulation of campus recruiters. Other companies offering international positions are Samsung, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Sony and IBM.
IIT-B wouldn’t like to comment on the salary figures, but said that salaries had gone up by up to 10% over last year, despite overall concern about the economic slowdown.
Twitter and LinkedIn have come to IIT for the first time. The interviews are still going on so we wouldn’t like to comment on salary figures.

In all, 1,300 students registered for placements this time and thirty-five companies will be participating in the first-phase of recruitment which will go on till 18th December.
