Facebook, YouTube and Twitter are three basic social media platforms that most politicians use to amplify their presence and influence. Google+ Hangout becoming popular with time is also coming into action.
After celebrities, now it’s time for politicians to make the most of social media. Google+ Hangout earlier used by the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi received an over-whelming response with more than 20,000 questions through various mediums from various part of the world.
Now, we will have India’s Union Finance Minister Mr. P Chidambaram who will respond to citizens' questions about the Budget, and discuss the state of the Indian economy with a panel of industry leaders as well as citizens on March 4, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. through a Google+ Hangout.
The panel of industry leaders joining the hangout includes Jahangir Aziz, Senior Asia Economist and India Chief Economist, JP Morgan, Anand Mahindra, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra, and Amit Singhal, Senior Vice President, Google Inc.
While it is not possible for everyone to participate, selected participants will ask questions to the Minister but everyone can watch the live hangout, when it is happening on Youtube. If you are not participating in the hangout, it doesn’t mean you cannot ask questions.
Head to In Conversation YouTube channel where you can submit your questions in the form of a video or as a comment. You can also ask a question through the Google India +Page at google.com/+GoogleIndia by submitting a video or text question using the hashtag #askthefm.
