Vodafone and Twitter –a growing partnership

Vodafone India is currently one of the largest and engaging brands in Twitter with over 95,000 followers. As a brand, Vodafone has always been at the forefront of new media, and its presence on Twitter has been built on providing great service and creating medium-specific activities.

Very early on, Vodafone recognized Twitter’s inherent, conversational dynamism and natural fit with the mobile medium. Vodafone has been one of the pioneering customer service brands in India with a dedicated team that listens, monitors and ensures speedy resolution of customer queries.

In keeping with its brand philosophy of engaging its followers with engaging content & activities, Vodafone has created multiple Twitter activities to increase brand affinity. Recognizing Twitter’s ability to bring fans closer to their passions, Vodafone India initiated the first cricket chat with Ravi Shastri during IPL 2013.

Vodafone enabled fans to tweet Ravi a question on the live match, and get a personalized analysis from him. This resulted in over a 1000 tweets to Ravi Shastri during the course of the IPL season.
