Social Media platforms like Facebook, twitter, YouTube, blogs, Google hangout, Flickr, Foursquare etc. are playing a critical role by involving millions of people in real time.

We see Social media as the illustrious & most potent democratic tool of Empowerment, Promotion, Participation, Commerce, Cause, Campaign, Activism among others.

Manthan Award is a 10 year old fraternity which not only aims to explore the ICT initiatives in different regions but also recognize the Social media initiatives in India. ‘Social Media and Empowerment’ under the patronage of the Manthan South Asia & Asia Pacific Award is open to all those organizations and initiatives who are using Social Media effectively to meet their mission and needs.
