Haroon Bijli has been appointed as the General Manager – Digital Marketing, for Philips Electronics India Limited. He will be based in Gurgaon and will be responsible for conceptualizing and driving Philips’ digital marketing initiatives.
Haroon is a Digital Marketing and Communications professional with over 14 years of experience in helping organizations utilize technology to develop & execute highly digitized marketing and communications strategies.
Prior to joining Philips, Haroon worked with Tata Consultancy Services for 13 years, his last position being the Head Global Digital Marketing & Head Internal Communications. At TCS, he was responsible for the Global Employee Portal, Desktop Communication Network, and other online channels.
Prior to his stint with TCS, Haroon founded and managed Graphtech Communications, a design, DTP and computer graphics training outfit for a few years.
Haroon’s wide-ranging, professional experience includes expertise in B2B, management, Technology and effective communication skills. He has played an integral role in developing the internal communication flow and collaboration at Tata Consultancy Services.
Philips has been distinctly shifting from electronic appliances to Consumer Lifestyle goods and has been creating a lot of buzz to become relevant in this space. Philips has been aggressively using social media to promote their new brand positioning.
However, Philips India’s Social Media campaigns need some boost and out of the box ideas. The brand also needs to improve a lot in design and visual imagery.
Haroon has been in the industry for quite some time and knows to bridge the gap between communication and technology. His experience in the Indian Digital Industry and know-how of developing communication strategies make him a natural choice to lead Philips India’s global marketing functions.
