Almost every other week, we at Social Samosa come across brands kickstarting initiatives leveraging the potential of social media. We review some, we ignore some, and we bash the ones that are not particularly good.
But, seldom does an initiative excite us so much that we decide to become a part of it ourselves. Just like last year when we supported Triature during the Christmas season to help them delight the kids at the Don Bosco orphanage.
Well, in that respect, Tata Capital’s Do Right initiative had us more than excited; so much so that we decided to become the social media outreach partner for the #HalfStories – The Journey of Doing Right phase of the campaign.
So what is Do Right and #HalfStories all about?
Tata Capital’s Do Right initiative is a pan-India initiative encouraging people to build a better future both by inspiring people to ‘do right’ and by providing them the platforms to ‘do right’.
#HalfStories – The Journey of Doing Right, which is the second phase of the Do Right initiative by Tata Capital, will see them identifying everyday people and their stories of courage, perseverance and determination. This journey from Dharamsala to Guwahati will highlight the challenges people face at some of the remotest parts of our country.
The initiative aims to leverage the immense potential of social media and the inherent benevolent nature of people to garner support for those in need.
Why Did We Decide to Partner With The Campaign?
Doing good is one thing, and using social media to do it is another. And that is exactly what drew us to #HalfStories.
We passionately believe that social media can bring about a positive change in the society. And I am sure you, as our reader, share the same belief, right?
We would have simply reviewed this campaign; but when we realized that it has a much larger vision and holds true value for the people involved, it was a no brainer, and we simply had to extend our support to Tata Capital.
So What Next?
As our reader, you will be part of this wonderful journey as we meet people from remote locations and try to help them through social media.
Also, you too will get the chance to bring change to the lives of these people and garner some positive karma. And isn't it time to do your Good Deed of The Year?
So hop on with us on this exciting ride and be a part of something that you will remember for a long time, a very long time! You can start off by tweeting/sharing this article.
