The United Nations Foundation today announced it is bringing one of its landmark events, +Social Good, to India. India +Social Good will take place on April 9, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.
The event brings together the United Nations Foundation, Mashable, 92nd Street Y, Ericsson, and EDP, to create India’s first-of-its-kind, in-person gathering and global, online conversation on the potential of social media and technology to power a more innovative and better future for our world.
Through dialogue, conversation and ideas exchange with prominent Indian and global speakers and thought leaders, the India +SocialGood aims to unite a global community of innovators around a shared vision: leveraging the power of technology and new media to make the world a better place. The platform will cover issues ranging from the latest developments in Indian CSR, to the most pressing healthcare issues and the latest innovation and entrepreneurship in this market.
In order to make this global dialogue possible, India +Social Good will draw from the successful model of the annual +SocialGood Summit, which for the last two years has broadened the conversation around United Nations Week. +Social Good conferences have been held across the world in cities like New York,
Rio De Janeiro, Mogadishu and Hong Kong with lively and active participation from young and seasoned entrepreneurs, industrialists, eminent philanthropists, activists and government organizations.
