How did the idea of starting a Digital Marketing Learning Place come to you?
Indian online advertising market is a 2,983+ crore market at present. This is 10% of the total ad spends. While print & other media are on the decline, the digital sector growth is on the rise with 31% growth. India will have 1.5L digital professionals manning the industry by 2016.
With such huge numbers the need of the hour was to have a professional training organization that is aligned with the requirements of the digital industry. DMTI was founded with the objective of adding trained manpower to the digital industry. We are a consortium of senior marketing professionals who train marketers as well as fresh graduates who are interested in learning more about the digital marketing or wish to join the industry.
According to you, how important is it for a person to take this course?
A marketing professional needs to understand all aspects of marketing – digital marketing has become an important part of a brand campaign and can no longer be ignored. The course is important for media / advertising / marketing professionals.
There are two ways of learning – one is on the job & the other is to learn vicariously through the experiences of others. The DMTI programs are a blend of both the above & are perfectly suited to those who are serious about learning.
How often is the course conducted?
The Post Graduate Program in Digital Media Marketing is conducted annually.
What is the duration of the course?
It’s a one-year, full time program.
What is the workshop/course curriculum?
The 1-year program comprises of four trimesters – each lasting three months. The first half of the program is built around 17 core courses providing participants an understanding of fundamentals of marketing, integrated marketing and an in-depth dive into all aspects of Digital Marketing. The second half of the program consists of a paid internship & a capstone project & final placement. The students also participate in the “Career Transformation Program” throughout the year.

What platforms do you cover?
The program covers all aspects of Digital Marketing. It is focused on core digital marketing strategies – platforms are incidental. However, all platforms that are required for implementation of a digital strategy are covered. This includes social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. & also advanced tools like MediaMind & Simplify360. Participants are taught to choose the right platform & further execute on these platforms.
Do you have different courses for different platforms? Can you shed some light on it?
We do not encourage separate courses on different platforms because the platforms that are popular today might not exist tomorrow. Digital is a ever-changing domain & one needs to learn to adapt to changes in platform. The PGPDM equips participants to learn beyond platforms. Platform training, however, is an integral part of the curriculum.
What are the eligibility criteria?
Bachelors Degree from any AIU recognized University with minimum 50% marks aggregate. Final year students may also apply. Professionals with work experience are given preference. The PGPDM has a limited intake to ensure personal attention to each participant.
Applicants need to apply for the program & are selected based on multiple criteria. All applicants are not accepted into the program.
Can you brief us on the Faculty profile?
The faculty for the PGPDM includes the who’s who of marketing. We only engage with senior marketing professionals who are expert in their own domains and have a proven track record of training experience. We also have academicians from premier B-schools like IIM who are a part of the DMTI training fraternity.
Type of workshop – Individual, group, corporate?
The PGPDM admits individuals who are keen on learning. Some candidates are company sponsored but they still have to go through the regular screening & selection process for admission into the program.

How much does the workshop cost for: a) Individuals and b) Corporates ?
The PGPDM program is only open for Individual Registration. The fee for the program is INR 275000 (exclusive of taxes). Company sponsored candidates are offered the same fee.
Where will it be held?
The program will be conducted in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art classroom at Jai Hind College premises located in South Mumbai.
Do you help with internships/jobs?
The program has 6 months paid internship as a part of the program. All students are offered a guaranteed placement of INR 5 lac + per annum. In fact, DMTI has an impressive line-up of companies who wish to recruit from the batch of PGPDM 2014-15.
