Maharashtra Police to Penalise People for Liking and Sharing Offensive Facebook Posts

The recent allegedly offensive posts involving Late Bala Saheb Thackeray, Chhatrapati Shivaji and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar created quite a stir in the stretch between Mumbai and Pune. Amid stone pelting and profanity flinging which was directed to no one in particular the Maharashtra Police has decided to take matters in their hands.

While, they await a response on the correct IP address of the person responsible for sharing the posts in question, they have decided to release another decree on the matter. Here on, the Maharashtra police will not only crack down on those people that share allegedly offensive posts but will also be a lesson to those liking or sharing these posts.

There has been no official statement on how they plan to execute this decree.
