Facebook Save to be Available for iOS and Android

Facebook has announced the launch of a new feature called Save, which will be available to all iOS and Android phones over the next few days.

It allows users to save pages that interest them for later access. User can save items that they find on Facebook to check out later when they have more time. It lets them save items like links, places, movies, TV and music.

No one except the users can see the items you save unless they choose to share them with friends. The saved items saved can be viewed at any time by going to the saved items in the “More” tab on mobile or by clicking the link on the left hand side of Facebook on the web.

Save will also sometimes show reminders of all saved items in News Feed.

Facebook has said that it wants to be a go to place for consumer news content. A save feature is a critical feature for any news reading service. Thus one can say that facebook has social media a lot better. Also they plan to use this feature for ad targeting.
