If you wish to hide the ‘last seen’ option of your WhatsApp messenger then certain simple steps have to be followed.

Step 1

Firstly, open your Whatsapp messenger and tap the three aligned dots on the top right hand corner of the screen.

Select the ‘settings’ option and then the ‘account’ option. Next, the ‘privacy’ option should be selected. The information that would be displayed is this: “Who can see my personal info”.

Step 3

You would find the ‘last seen’ option. If you tap this, it will give you three options to choose from – Everyone, My contacts and Nobody. If you wish to hide your ‘last seen’ from external people or those who are not connected with you on Whatsapp then select the ‘my contacts’ option and if you wish to hide it from everyone then select the everyone option.

There has been this social messaging app called Whatsapp plus (+) where, the last seen option can be hidden. In fact, they brought out this feature before Whatsapp. Also, on this site, it is possible to see the ‘last seen’ of other people. But there are issues here as well.

On this site, every time you hide your last seen, the time is set forever. For instance, if you hide your ‘last seen’ on Whatsapp (+) at 7:00 am in the morning on 16/05/2014, this time and date would be set forever. However, there is no such issue with regular Whatsapp.
