The HookAStar app caters to Indian celebrities like actors, artists, politicians, athletes and other public figures. While also simultaneously targeting their fans world-wide to foster an authentic and direct interaction.

What do we offer to our consumers?

The numerous fake profiles of stars spread across the social media are intensely frustrating for both the celebrities and fans alike. Although the celebrities wanted to reach out to their fans, there was no social media platform present that offered them complete control of their content.

Similarly for the fans, while they wanted to reach out to their favourite celebrities, they were most often misled through the rut of fake profiles. There was an imminent need of an authentic social media platform that featured genuine profiles of real stars and offered authentic updates, photos from celebrities to fans.

HookAStar offers this and goes even beyond by offering real time notifications to the fans on every update of celebrity generated content. The celebrities share updates, images, audio and video messages with fans, which the fans not only receive with real-time notification, but can further share them on other major social media platforms as Facebook , Twitter and Google plus.

What motivated us to start up?

In a world where celebrities are plagued with dummy profiles, fake followers and fabricated content, there was an imminent need of an authentic social media platform that featured genuine profiles of real stars and where they can interact directly with the fans  through text, media and updates.

That is how HookAStar emerged, as India’s first ever social media app, it allows celebrities to use any combination of text, audio and video messages to create an online platform to promote and share their story, work.

What's in a name?

HookAStar- the name represents the passion of the ardent fans of real stars. The fans who are so enamored and devoted to their stars, that want to be one with their favorite stars and are eager to know everything about them.

The HookAStar app was launched on the Independence Day this year, and looks forward to charting an iconic journey for celebrities and fans going ahead.

Within a short span, HookAStar now has more than 100 celebrities on board with a fan following of 5000 and growing. The app has witnessed remarkable app downloads across both mobile platforms of Android and iOS.
