Axis Bank displays superhero qualities, bringing a community of environment friendly people together in the most effective way possible.
Playing along the thought that, ‘Ideas are great. Actions though, are greater’, Axis Bank takes #MyIdeaOfProgress to the next phase. In the second phase of the campaign called #Share4Green, Axis Bank is bringing alive an idea submitted by Sarjak Parekh, one of the winners chosen from over 45,000 entries.
The bank will launch a country-wide green drive - ‘Plant a Sapling’ initiative, on the 20th and 21st Feb 2015, under its green banking program. This is being promoted with #Share4Green on Facebook and Twitter. Transparency is maintained on a microsite, where the community can tally saplings, to be planted by Axis Bank.
Mr. Rajiv Anand, Group Executive - Retail Banking, Axis Bank says, “Green Banking is embedded in our philosophy and culture. We are doing our best to ensure that most of our operational, procurement and consumption practices are environment friendly.”
The campaign takes responsibility for the future. It is investing time in sustainability and creating an aura of positive change within the community. The bank is inviting users to simply share or retweet a post, and the brand will in turn plant a sapling for every retweet or share.
Axis Bank is not approaching this campaign as CSR, but as a unique initiative of bringing people together to bring an idea to life. The brand has managed to achieve virality with 80K+ likes, 1.5K shares on Facebook and 2.2K retweets on Twitter coming in. Being collaborative is essential to increase virality. The creative reads, ‘Let’s bring Sarjak’s idea of progress to life!’
The campaign also joins the power of online buzz with a tangible ROI, instilling infinite faith in a brand.
Deepika Padukone, the bank’s brand ambassador says, “It is very critical for all of us to realize that small simple actions can have great impact and go a long way to make our world a better place. So, go ahead, do your bit, just retweet or share the activity on Facebook and help bring Sarjak’s idea of progress to life.”
Axis Bank has put a social cause ahead of branding, an inspiration to giant corporates. We hope this campaign leads towards building a community of nature lovers and attains digital immortality.
