A group of advertising students every year register at Cannes Lion festival to show their creative side, taking advertising to a complete new level. What started with 30 applications in the first year got 1800 applications this year from all around the world.
Out of these 1800 teams, only five teams win an invitation to the festival and Snaphelp was one among them. Other winners included Miami Ad School, San Francisco and Europe for Google, Miami Ad School, San Francisco for Heineken International. Fondazione Accademia di Comunicazione, Italy for Uber and LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore for World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
KyunHee University, Bigant Academy, South Korea was announced as one of the five winners to get the title from AQKA’s Future Lions on 25th June 2015, for their ad-film on Snaphelp.
In the one-minute thirty-second ad film, Yusol Shim’s team shows how bullying, a serious problem faced by most teenagers in school can affect their mental health.
These young adults, who are victims of bullying and are introverts, rarely ask for help and instead keep suffering. However, Snaphelp for Snapchat introduces a new feature in their app wherein, these kids can talk about their problems to a group of professional doctors and psychiatrists. A different way to make help available for them.
All the kids have to do is add ‘Help’ in their Snapchat list and there’ll be someone to talk to them, hear them out and help them.
Messages on Snapchat disappear as soon as the application is closed, which will assure these young adults that their conversation is completely private. This in turn, will encourage kids in reaching out for help.
