Instagram let go of its signature design format and thought it is about time to think out of the box– literally. With their latest update, there is no need to crop friends from your original picture and you can now share the pictures just the way they are. These pictures will now elongate till the edge of the smartphone screen.

Nevertheless, Instagram announced that the original square layout will still be a part of the photo-sharing app. The photo-sharing giant stated that almost one in five photos or videos that are uploaded aren’t in the square format because of people using other apps to add white or black padding.

This new update is definitely going to make all the ‘budding’ photographers on Instagram very
ecstatic and this smart move also proved that the photo-sharing app values their users and listens
to what they want.

Starting today, this new feature is now available for both iOS and Andriod users.
