On a cloudy Sunday morning of 20th September, bloggers, aspiring bloggers and brands convened at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar for the second edition of WIN Blogging Conference and Awards to learn the different dimensions of blogging, brands and their integration in an effective manner.
#WIN15 succeeded in engaging bloggers. This was evident in the fact that Twitter exploded with quotable statements by the speakers as attendees rushed to share their experience.
With the intent of giving the power of blogging in people’s hands, the first half of #WIN15 saw speakers like Lakshmi Pratury, Rezwan Islam, Anaggh Desai, Prashant Challapalli, Harini Calamur, Sruthijith KK, Rezwan Islam, Aditya Magal and Ashok Lalla talk about the evolution and power of blogging, the connect between brands and blogs and ways in which brands and bloggers can benefit each other.
#WIN15 Awards honoured excellence in blogging across 16 categories ranging from Fashion & Lifestyle to Political, Personal and Creative Writing.
Game of Blogs, the first collaborative blogging book to be published in India, was also unveiled to the world by Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Natasha Badhwar at #WIN15. The book, titled 6 Degrees, contains stories written by 3 winning teams of the Game of Blogs activity at BlogAdda.
The second half of the day had bloggers making a beeline to the sessions to get their fix of skills that would help them excel. Archana Doshi fame Archana’s Kitchen, and Nandita Iyer of Saffron Trails shared their experience on food blogging and showed bloggers the way to monetize the same with interactive demos.
All of us dream of quitting our day jobs and travelling the world for a living, and Ajay Jain of Kunzum Cafe showed how it’s done with his travel blogging workshop.
Satya Raghavan of YouTube regaled the audience with viral videos and showed them what goes into making a video that will draw hits and tempt people into sharing them.

The entire day was anchored by Siddharth Kannan, who busted the myth of bloggers being a serious lot by making bloggers sing, dance, scream, serenade and of course, laugh with his antics.
#WIN15 made history by trending on No.1 in India on Twitter. Just goes to show that blogging and bloggers can make waves.
