On Wednesday Facebook announced that it has taken a giant leap with now 3 million global businesses actively advertising on their media platform. It also witnessed a 50% jump in just a year, with 70% of them outside the United States.
Facebook claims that fifty million small commerces utilize free pages on Facebook, thus making more than 43 billion connections including companies and people. The social media aims to bridge to the new mobile economy for small business, letting them to communicate with customers and build their social presence.
In U.S more than 80% of users on Facebook are connected to small business, while India is catching up with 57% of people using Facebook are associated to small businesses. It is claimed that over a million advertisers create advertisements directly from their smart phones.
To make merriment of these corporate, the social media giant also announced the development of Your Business Story, a new movie tool that allows business heads to put their company out there to the world. This tool enables companies to upload their photos from their Facebook Pages, overlay with music and share.
Facebook has clearly emerged itself as a professional social platform evolving way beyond then a mere communication platform juggling to satisfy both professional and personal users by changing the face of global businesses on social media by getting all the fields under a common roof.
