To bring together expert personalities and speakers on social media and conduct a virtual panel discussion on Twitter that anyone could participate in or simply attend regardless of their location.

Execution

The Outstanding Speaker’s Bureau kickstarted the Twitter panel discussion on September 1 bringing together experts and speakers from various fields.

Open for participants to join and track by using #TOSBDay.

The panel discussion was scheduled for 10 hours from 10am to 8pm with the panelists divided into 10 categories. To discuss topics ranging from technology to sports, management, diversity, teamwork, Indian elections, innovation, storytelling, social entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Comprising of 35 eminent personalities such as Vishwanathan Anand, Dia Mirza, Mark Gallagher, Nandita Das, Tisca Chopra, Roshan Abbas, Devdutt Patnaik, Dr. S.Y. Quraishi among others the panel discussion went on all day.

Interviewed by the official Twitter handle of the The Outstanding Speaker’s Bureau and answered by the panelists’ individual accounts, the virtual panel had smooth functioning. Also, partnering with industry associations such as Nasscom and Sheroes India and media outlets like The Quint, and The Print gave the event a larger reach and footprint.

Results

The activity lasted for its scheduled 10 hour duration and generated more than 1500 tweets.

With organic impressions peaking at 59.2m and a collective reach of more than 3.5m, their hashtag #TOSBDay was trending at 7pm on mobile trends for the day.

The panel discussion yielded an increase of 97 followers on The Outstanding Speaker’s Bureau’s Twitter handle and an increase of 45 likes on their official Faceook page.

The virtual conference managed to bring the best of the industry on one screen, giving virtual conferences an all new perspective.
