After hosting a series of Startup Knockdown events to support the travel startup ecosystem in India, travel media portal TravHQ is introducing a new event for marketers associated with travel industry.
TravelNEXUS, the upcoming event, will bring travel marketers, tourism boards, travel professionals and content creators under one roof to discuss the best practices, innovative ideas, experiences and to explore synergies to grow together. Travel Nexus Summit 2017, is slated to take place on 25th March, Ramada Gurgaon Central, India.
As the travel industry grows and the volume of travellers continues to increase, there is a proportional increase in the resources available for them to better plan and experience their journeys. Brands, big or small, are competing to reach the right set of audience and it is often a steep climb with the dropping attention spans. However, there are always some brands that stand out. There are also bloggers who enjoy loyal following owing to their storytelling skills.
TravelNEXUS will bring them together to discuss and highlight how they are doing things differently to have an edge over the others. The objective is to maximise the learning for everyone from the ones who are best in business.
The event has an array of discussions and keynotes lined up where domain experts will join to share their learnings and insights. The day will start with panel discussions on travel blogging and how it is evolving globally. This will be followed by workshop that will put light on the best practices for destinations brands to leverage influencer marketing to their advantage and then for travel startups to get the word out in their early days.
Following the discussions, there will be keynote on how travel and hospitality companies can tailor well for the millions looking at Google to plan their trips. A keynote that will offer insights on unlocking the maximum potential of social channels will follow.
The event is also offering brands and destination marketers an opportunity to showcase their work in front of the right audience. Travel brands can register to present campaign case studies across three categories: Social Media Campaign, Video Campaign & Integrated Campaign.
TravHQ and the event partners will also identify and honour marketers and content creators in three categories: Best Destination Marketer, Best Travel Blogger and Best Social Media Content. Both the opportunities are open and can be nominated on the website.
Daksh Sharma, cofounder of TravHQ, quoted "The growth in online travel ecosystem, while helping the travelers, has fueled competition on digital platforms. To remain at the top of their customers’ mind, companies can’t afford to be doing the ordinary. Travel Nexus will give them an opportunity to learn from domain experts, get actionable insights and forge meaningful partnerships to ensure strong growth in the competitive environment.”
The event is supported by hospitality partner Ramada Gurgaon Central and travel partner Plush Escapes. Plush Escapes is a platform for travellers to go off the beaten path to discover unique experiences and getaways. Leading social media portal Social Samosa will also bring its expertise to the event.
