Republic, Arnab Goswami's new media technology venture, chooses LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, as their exclusive platform for finding quality talent to grow their team.
Republic will leverage LinkedIn to hire professionals for roles across their news desk, production team, news analysis desk, social media desk, website and app team. Republic will be an independent platform for journalists and content professionals. The venture aspires to create a movement that will put the power of journalism into the hands of the citizens, and will be India’s first footprint into global journalism.
Commenting on the announcement, Arnab Goswami, Founder of Republic said “Being a technology driven media company which will focus on traditional and evolving digital screens, it was a natural fit to digitise our process of recruitment. The idea was to open the process of recruitment to everyone so that we build our team with the brightest minds. Our aim at Republic is to build a strong editorial ecosystem and we are certain that with LinkedIn's established network, they will be able to work with us to help build the same".
“India is on the verge of moving to ‘centre stage’ at a global scale, with start-ups like Republic fuelling India’s growth trajectory. We are excited to work with Republic to help them build their team, emerge as a strong employer brand and communicate their purpose to all professionals on LinkedIn. We are confident that our best-in-class recruiting and talent sourcing solutions will help Republic find the right talent that contributes to the venture’s goal of bringing in the digital news revolution.” Irfan Abdulla, Director Talent Solutions, LinkedIn India.
Via LinkedIn, Republic is excited to hire professionals from diverse backgrounds to build the best and most diverse news team in the country.
