Educate Girls, the non-profit organisation that works towards tackling issues at the root cause of gender inequality in India’s education system has awarded KRDS India their social media mandate for the second year in a row.
The agency which specialises in designing social media strategies, integrating application/microsite development, community building and management, will be in charge of handling social media strategy for the brand.
Educate Girls and KRDS India have successfully executed multiple campaigns last year focused on creating awareness for education of the girl child in India.
Carissa Paul, Assistant Manager - Communications, Educate Girls quoted, “Educate Girls’ program model is based on mobilising communities to challenge gender disparity in rural India by focusing on girls’ education and quality of learning. We believe that people can create lasting change if they work together. This is what makes social media an important tool for us to inform people about the problem, challenge mind-sets and ultimately effect positive change. KRDS India has assisted us in furthering these objectives last year, and we hope to do some good work together this year as well.”
Achal Deoda, Business Head, KRDS India quoted, “We at KRDS India, feel privileged to work with Educate Girls and further their cause of bringing a fundamental change and focus on girls’ education in India. KRDS has been at the forefront of social media marketing for the past few years and we believe with our creative outlook and thorough experience in designing social media strategies, we will continue to add immense value to this brilliant cause.”
