Instagram officially announced changes in Instagram Graph API that will allow business accounts to schedule posts in advance.
The changes in the Instagram Graph API allow businesses to schedule posts, view posts they've been tagged in and view other business profiles. However, these features aren't available on the app directly, but will be supported by Facebook Partners and Instagram Partners - this includes tools such as HootSuite, Sprout Social, and Adobe Ad Cloud.
"The scheduling and publishing of Instagram content has been the number one request for our 16 million customers. Now, they can manage large volumes of content, multiple team members and multiple Instagram accounts with ease and security. Hootsuite is excited to partner with Instagram to make this happen," said, Ryan Holmes, CEO, Hootsuite.

These changes come in as a part of a bigger revamp, which includes replacing the former Instagram API with Instagram Graph API. The latter has features such as view organic insights and comment moderation.
According to the photo-sharing app's official blog, Instagram will continue to add features to Instagram Graph API for providing developers with "best tools to support businesses on the platform." To give developers time to migrate to the Instagram Graph API, the app will begin ending support for the Instagram API Platform by early 2020.
