Facebook announced Facebook Stories Ads which can be run by extending Instagram Stories ads or by transforming their newsfeed ads into it, by reformatting like adding text and resizing it to match the dimensions.
In last couple of weeks, Facebook has announced new features to make Stories a hit. Launched almost a year ago, reportedly, Facebook has reached the mark of 150 million users for Stories, and is updating constantly to make it popular amongst others.
Alongside features like Polls, Voice posts and Archive that makes Stories engaging, Facebook has decided to monetize it and announced Facebook Stories Ads.
This feature might sound interesting to brands and businesses to maximize their ad inventory, but currently it will do nothing more than just exposure or brand awareness, as there is no way to direct users to take an action, though the social media giant plans on adding more features in the near future.
