Indian advertising has traversed through a lot of phases and has indeed come a long way giving its own twist to every innovation in the sector. Be it the desi satirical humour of Amul Girl or the iconic Nirma jingle - the varying Indian advertising formats never fail to amaze. A new trend that has hit the ad world is RAP! Though it’s not new to most of us, imbibing it into advertising and make it a core of brand communication is laudable.

Brands, in recent times, have gone en extra mile taking the RAP route to stand out amidst the competition and create a brand recall building a fan base for their products or rather the ads itself. When Ranveer Singh rapped for Jack and Jones we weren't surprised much, but when our own Big B with his baritone voice crooned to ‘Yo Se, Yo Se,’ for Tata Sky we were quite impressed. The superstar also raked in complements on social media for his swag that aptly match with the rap beats.
