India is reeling under severe pain as the death toll in Kerala reaches 138 due to flood. The god’s own country has been facing incessant rains since August 8 which has led to the devastation of so many lives and properties in the state.
Life has come to a standstill in flood-hit Kerala owing to a series of landslides and overflowing rivers. According to various reports, around two lakh people have been shifted to 1,165 relief camps across the state. The calamity is described as the worst disaster that the coastal state has faced causing immense disruption to the lives of its citizens.
Brands like Vodafone, in an attempt to provide help and assistance to the affected people have enabled it’s customers in Kerala to remain connected in this hour of dire need, on an immediate basis. The telecom major offers a ‘Talk Time’ credit of up to Rs. 30 to all Vodafone prepaid mobile customers. To activate this Chota credit, Vodafone prepaid customers can SMS ‘CREDIT’ to 144 or dial *130*1#. Additionally, 1 GB of mobile data is being auto credited free of cost to all Vodafone prepaid smart-phone users in Kerala. Meanwhile, Amazon and Paytm have tied up with various NGOs working to reach out to the needy with basic amenities.
