“Skinny. Chubby. Curvy. Short. Tall. Fair. Dark. The list of labels is endless, but the endurance of a Saree, timeless,” says team Craftsvilla which has come up with a new #MySareeMyStory campaign, as a way to promote self acceptance and confidence.

The motive behind the campaign is to spread the message of breaking stereotypes of body shaming and standardization of beauty. A saree is the best way to do it as it can be donned by anyone at anytime regardless of their body type and complexion.

Craftsvilla teamed up with numerous nano and micro-bloggers and urged them to tell their story of strength and how a saree helps them to exude that with #MySareeMyStory. Check out the social media buzz:

Craftsvilla's #MySareeMyStory #Repost @yogasini (@get_repost) ・・・ Craftsvilla's #MySareeMyStory: Who says you can’t run in a saree , who says you can’t workout in a saree. This piece of garment empowers you. It doesn’t take away your strength, doesn’t take away your confidence . I at 5.4 can still rock a saree , why because I don’t let the world enforce its stereotypes on me. ??? Let them tell us how to look and how to talk, but don’t ever let them tell you what to do. ?‍♀️ Drape that saree like you mean it, wear it with confidence , embrace its beauty and let the power simmer within you. The saree is one of a kind and so are you. Check me out rocking a @craftsvilla_dotcom saree with a crop top and some sneakers, doing yoga and running around delhi , because why not. ??? Craftsvilla’s #MySareeMyStory #Repost @nitasofiani (@get_repost) ・・・ Craftsvilla’s #MySareeMyStory - Some people think that people who wear saree have to have good body shape, bright skin, and its only Indian that will look good while wearing saree itself. But, let me share the beauty of saree in my opinion. Saree is a traditional costume from India’s culture that can be worn by anyone, anywhere, anytime of the occasion. Some people in India even wear it as their daily outfit. Some says, only good body shape can wear saree? Its a big no no! Everyone can wear it, elder, youngster, foreigner, everyone! There is no boundation for wearing a saree. Even every skin tone colour can match while wearing saree, as we know saree has so many colour collections. - This time I want to share with you my saree’s story, how I define my beautiful saree that I have from @craftsvilla_dotcom on me. I match it with a touch of Indonesia’s culture, the hat that I worn, we call it “tatampah” . We used this tatampah as a base for some Indonesian snacks or some people even use it for drying the rice. I really love the combination for this saree, tatampah and over all look. I feel that mixing 2 traditional cultures giving amazing look result. What do u think? Lets share your saree story with me, and tell me how you define saree on your opinion? - #nitasofiani #nitasofianiXcraftsvilla #saree #sareeLove #ethnicwear #craftsVilla #brandsPAYcreator @craftsvilla_dotcom . . @brandspay

Craftsvilla's #MySareeMyStory #Repost @fashio_nistha (@get_repost) ・・・ Craftsvilla's #MySareeMyStory I strongly believe this 6 yards of sheer elegance is the only garment that suits every body size, shape and color. It's the only piece of clothing that brings out the best beauty out of every girl. As a kid, have been seeing my mother wearing saree everyday which has got me to believe there is no other garment as graceful as a saree. Although people have stereotyped saree to be worn by only tall girls, I would say ignore such talks and wear it as much as you want. In the recent times, its commendable to see how the modern generation is creating such indo western looks out of a saree. I mean there was a time when it was worn in a typical way but today, its one of the most experimented attire. You can pair a saree with funky crop tops like how I am carrying here with OTS ruffled sleeve crop top to add a twist to the look. I have paired the same saree with another basic top and added a long jacket with a sleek belt to inject a bit of fun. There are so many ways you can drape a saree and create funky street style looks. So girls, let go of all the apprehensions you have for wearing saree as it's for you as much as it is for another girl. . . #MySareeMyStory #Craftsvilla @dimpisanghvi_ws with @craftsvilla_dotcom #repost ・・・ @Craftsvilla_dotcom #MySareeMyStory is about cherishing your own unique personality & putting forward your true self by picking out a saree to compliment it?‍♀️ The best thing about sarees is that they don’t discrimate between people based on their body type, skin tone or age. My skin tone doesn’t define me & my saree truly respects that?? So happy that today, I got the opportunity to break the stereotype that “fair skin is the gateway to success “ & reflect my versatile & vibrant personality through my saree. Let go off your insecurities, because only then you will be able to realize that everyone is beautiful and saree is for all - Read more about #mysareemystory on the blog - LINK IN BIO? . . ? - @aa_photographs #wardrobesecrets #craftsvilla #saree #ethnic #traditional #contemporary #fashionbloggers #mumbaifashionbloggers #indianfashionbloggers #geometricprint #fashion #votd #Repost @get_repost #instafashionista #instapic #instafashion #instaphoto #outfitstyle #ootd #fashionistas #fashiondiaries #styleblogger #instagood #bodypositive #videos #instavideos

Craftsvilla : #MySareeMyStory #Repost @aurhee (@get_repost) ・・・ ? Craftsvilla : #MySareeMyStory ? I always have to think twice before choosing a particular outfit, so that it compliments my petite figure and also my height ( I stand tall at 5’1” ?). Only when it comes to choosing a saree I never have to give it a second thought. A saree never discriminates between us women. It accepts all body types and makes all women look their absolute best. . Wearing this beautiful peachy-pink floral saree with lace embroidered border from @craftsvilla_dotcom (link in my bio if you want to buy it ) . #craftsvilla #MySareeMyStory #Repost @inforstyle (@get_repost) ・・・ #MySareeMyStory As a child, I loved wearing my mother’s sarees like every regular girl. A graceful drape has a flair that not many things can compare to. But then I grew up, and I realised I was heavier than the other girls. I realised I don’t have a flat stomach to flaunt like the other girls did. School farewell was a disaster because I kept feeling that everyone was probably mocking me. And that feeling lasted for years! Until I wore a saree last Diwali. And let me tell you, I felt that flair yet again. The problem wasn’t people. The problem was me. My views about my body had changed. I had come to accept and love it. Since then, I’ve had no inhibitions. And I love to experiment with how I can differently drape sarees. This gorgeous one from @craftsvilla_dotcom beckoned to me when I went through their website and I knew it was meant for a contemporary drape.
