After bringing in new updates for it’s creator community, Snapchat is reportedly testing a new app design for Android users.
Social media expert Jane Manchun Wong noticed the development first and immediately took to the micro-blogging site to tweet about the same.
Snapchat's new faster Android UI is underway. It's generally smoother than the old one. Emoji brush is coming to the new UI for Android too! pic.twitter.com/wjGhM52Wmg

The redesign will also bring with it a slew of new features on the app and is relatively small.

Since the alpha model is under testing, it is difficult to presume when will the redesign gets rolled with the bugs removed and fixes. Last year Snapchat had received flak from its users when it had updated the interface which looked quite complicated. After severe backlash, the photo messaging app went back to it’s previous model, but till then it had lost quite a number of snapchatters.
Numbers suggest in the Snapchat quarterly report that Snapchat’s Daily Active Users fell to 188 million and reported monthly active users at 100 million.
