YouTube will be launching vertical video ads for TrueView and Universal App campaigns.
Google-owned video sharing platform has off lately made YouTube vertical video watching more convenient than ever. The platform first accommodated vertical format videos last year and has recently rolled out vertical video ads tailored to match such videos.
These ads will occupy 75 percent of the mobile screen, and the user can expand it occupy the whole screen with a tap. Like other YouTube Ads, these ads can be redirected to external links.
With the competitor platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat going heavy on Vertical Videos with Facebook Watch, IGTV, and Snapchat Storytellers, it makes a lot of sense for YouTube to launch vertical video ads to entice creators to engage with the platform with the added advantage of monetary benefits.
