The feature is easy to use and has been launched with the cons weighed too, like enabling users to block or mute an account if one does not wish to video chat with them.
If you don’t have access to video chat in Instagram, update your app to the latest version in the App Store or Google Play Store.
You can video chat with up to 6 people using Direct Messaging.

Instagram has been working on introducing new features like tapping through stories, enabling third-party authentication, testing continuous stories, launching name tags and more.
These efforts have been insinuating that the platform is trying to make the user-experience smoother and better, following Adam Mosseri's appointment as Head in the course of never-ending competition in the social media race.
The new feature is not ingenious, at least no more than what meets the eye. However, it would be easier for family or friends staying apart to have a conversation conveniently together.
