Soundcloud lets you share music on Instagram Stories

SoundCloud announced today in its blogpost that now it’s users will be able to share music from the app directly to Instagram stories.

Instagram, a couple of months ago had made it possible to share the music in its stories section, the update which is limited to a few countries. Starting today you can share your music discoveries from SoundCloud directly to your Instagram Stories. Scanning the New & Hot charts to find your next favorite song or artist is hard work – work that now delivers an immediate reward.

The blog states that as an artist, you can post a link to the single you just dropped so your followers can connect directly to the track on SoundCloud and access your new music on the spot. With mobile commenting, your fans can listen and give you feedback in real-time.

Here’s how the new feature works:

1. In the latest version of the SoundCloud app, find a track you want to share
2. Tap the share icon at the bottom of your screen
3. Tap the Instagram icon or select “Share to Instagram Stories” (depending on what phone you’re using)
4. Share the link with all your followers directly to your Instagram Story

The new feature begins rolling out to users today and is available via the latest versions of the SoundCloud and Instagram mobile apps on iOS and Android.
