Brands are glowing with Diwali campaigns 2018, igniting a spark inside people with their relatable situations to rocket their sales and leave a footprint, relevant in this festive season.
Saregama Carvaan stood out from the rest by acknowledging a major issue of sound pollution during the celebration, Ghadi Detergent is not far behind with pointing out one’s behavior towards the underprivileged. Big Bazaar was creative while revolving around a case frequent for people, during the festival.
Few brands have used monotonous themes revolving around situations that have been tapped before. Although Vodafone's ad circled around the most appropriate situation not nudged before, which contradicts the company's purpose but fulfills a social responsibility. Edelweiss Group's unusual ad threw light on the most neglected subject, which would certainly jog people's memory and acclaim the underrated heroes, the Fire Department.
This season saw a lot of long format ads; despite people's attention span dwindling, brands are not comprising the length to tell their story. The decision seems to work well as the campaigns have come out thumb stopping.
