Rajeswari Vijayanand is here with the method and list of ingredients that went in preparing her blog, Raks Kitchen that is making mouths water across social media.
The trays in Raks Kitchen traverse from Indo-Chinese through North India to South, presented in the form of easy step-by-step pictures and videos.
Read on to know the details that remained undisclosed (till now).
Looking back, where did it all begin?
My blog Raks kitchen is 12 years old; I started leveraging social media too.
What's in the name?
It’s just my nick-name that became my page’s name too.
What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?
I choose to collaborate only if I trust and like the products, I don't do all the projects that come on my way. So, being truthful to my audience is my thing. Also, I don't mind doing free shoutouts to support small scale businesses, entrepreneurs. My audience knows it, so the trust is there.
Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?
I just make use of my free time to create recipe posts for my blog. I take some time to share a bit of my life across social media, which helps people to connect themselves with me. I also take quality time to explore trends and stay updated with the latest ones.
How do you make moolah with your efforts?
I display ads in my main website through which I gain income. Brands approach me for creating content for them like videos, writing reviews etc., through the audience I have. I also earn a bit as an influencer, to top it.
How do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs?
I do one thing at a time and keep it as real as possible.

One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile
I just cherish everyday, the heartful “thank yous”, feedbacks, happy mails and messages I get from my follower friends.
Weirdest brand brief/request ever
Thankfully I have not received any weird brief yet, I choose to reject when I am not comfortable working with any brand that doesn't comply to the basic ethics.
If not blogging, you would be?
I can't imagine my life without blogging. Blogging made my life worthy. Otherwise I am not sure if I would spend my time meaningfully.
A day in your life....
After the everyday chores, I take some time to relax and then start with my blog. If I’m not in the mood for a photo or video shoot, I catch up with the mails and messages coming across. Or try to spend time improving my website, refining the recipes, looks. Also browse to learn new things that would help my line of work.
Message/tips for upcoming bloggers
Create truthful and quality content, do your work passionately and consistently. Do what you love to do, do not force yourself just to become someone else. Unique, quality content will not need any artificial boost.
Your Favorite Influencer
I see many many fellow Instagramers who have been a great inspiration, influencing responsibly rather than for just earnings.
The Future you foresee for your Personal Brand
As of now, creating content as videos have great future, which I am already into, just want to keep learning to deliver better.
I always go with the flow and don't plan much on my future. I just want myself to be updated and not stay idle, do what I do better than ever and be helpful in small ways that I could be through my website.
