Through my Pink Window by Papri Ganguly is an outcome of her experiment with makeup and Swatches of hue.
Very interestingly Ganguly defines herself as a Lipstick Addict and therefrom starts her journey as a makeup blogger. She describes her happiest part of life is being a Mom of a baby girl but Makeup adds to the palate of hues of happiness. Her USP is guiding her audience with genuine true experience and that makes her unique. With Social Samosa Papri Ganguly reveals some of the stories of her journey as a blogger.
Looking back, where did it all begin?
Since my childhood, I was fascinated by my Mom's Lipstick box. Till the age of 12, it was a clear NO to use a Swatch in School, college or tuition class.
You know, what I bought myself with the first earning?
Yes, a RED LIPSTICK. Then after I started experimenting with different makeup assortments. I was a free makeup artist for my girl’s gang on occasions. My cousin suggested to me, why do not I share my experience with the world.
What's in the name?
FANTASY! Through my Pink window………..absolute fantasy……..delusion, chimera. Pink refers to the indulging or gratifying self of women. And in such a phase, you look gorgeous in whatever you wear or do. But you have to come out of IF & BUT. Try Swatches……nature made it for us…WOMEN.
What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?
Two principles I follow and that is my USP. Firstly, to experiment with your look, makeup, dress and maybe whatever in your life. Don’t get set by the experience of others. The world has a lot to explore and something special for all. Secondly, as a blogger and influencer, it is my responsibility to give the real feel of the truth of my experience to the audience.
My consistency and honesty is my key to success. And I always endeavor to explore some new quality or feature of the product that was otherwise unexplored by tother users.
Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?
Before writing about any product I research a lot on it. And then stylize a unique concept of presenting it. Through the process, everything falls into place and a wonderful outcome comes. Each step of this experience makes my content relevant and relatable.
My openness about the success and failure of my experiments makes me relatable to my audience

How do you make moolah with your efforts
When you work hard God showers with a positive outcome and that is moolah for me.
How do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs
I prefer to work with brands that give me flexibility, to be honest with my audience.
One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile
Comments from my audience. I feel elated when I hear from my audience that the share of my experience helps them to solve their problems.
Weirdest brand brief/request ever
When a brand had said that they will send me the content and I will not edit anything in it and just publish it. Even they will not give me the product to use. That was something out of ethics and weird too.
If not blogging, you would be
A model may be. As that has again a scope to experiment with a lot of lifestyle products.
A day in your life...
My little angel is the focus of my day. After completing all for her I try to be responsible for my audience as well. In between, I plan to experiment next.
Message/tips for upcoming bloggers
Be it blogging or anything else NEVER GIVE UP. When things go absolute craziest…good times are about to come.
Your Favorite Influencer
Definitely, I follow all high ranking bloggers and influencers. But my favorite are budding bloggers. As you can find so unorganized truth in their initiatives.
