Shweta Chaudhary

Philanthropist, Actor and Mrs.Eco International, Shweta Chaudhary shares her experience and her passion for the environment and living healthy amidst the generation of artificial living.

“If you couldn’t be a princess then you can be a Queen” was certainly a life-changing statement for Shweta Chaudhary from her husband. The winner of Mrs. India 2017-18 and Mrs. Eco International 2018-19, the philanthropist shares her heartwarming journey to promote eco-friendly living.

With a stellar follower number of over 178k on Instagram, Chaudhary believes in Eco-friendly living and through her content, wants to bring awareness about healthy and happy living amongst the viewers.

Looking back, where did it
all begin?

My father always wanted to see me with a crown and represent India at a global platform as Miss India but unfortunately, I lost him early which changed a lot of things for me. But life has to go on so I diverted myself to corporate and started working there.

After a year I got married and got busy with my family. One day my husband asked me what’s next? He said, “If you couldn’t be a princess then you can be a Queen.” So that was definitely a life-changing statement and I held on to it and here I am.

I participated in Mrs. India Earth then Mrs. Earth and also Mrs. Eco International and with the blessings of my elders and God, I kept winning all of them.

What does the title hold
for you?

The title Mrs. Eco international is very close to my heart because I have always been very involved in taking care of my surroundings.

Hygiene and cleanliness are what I strive for in a healthy environment. So, this title reflects my personality and gives me the strength to keep working towards it.

What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?

I believe in Eco-friendly living and through my content, I want to bring awareness about healthy, happy living among those who look up to me. Generations after me have seen the evolution of plastic, artificial living by harming the environment to lead a comfortable life.

But today, we have access to social media platforms to voice our thoughts and I want people to stay healthy and promote nature-friendly living. So yes, I am doing that and getting an appreciation for my work.

Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?

Content creation for me is not a planned process. I like to put things that I connect with and which mean something to me.

I am also attracted to things that are from the gone era and old school. So, if something can connect me to fond memories of my childhood, there is not much effort required to create content around it.

How do you make moolah with your efforts?

Through brand associations.

How do you relate to the
brand briefs?

There are two mottos, one is that how the brand is going to benefit from my association and the other thing is how I am going to be portrayed and how my thoughts are upheld and highlighted.

The second thing is how it is going to serve the society because I don’t want to promote anything which is a menace to them.

One instance/experience
that made it all worthwhile

Of course, winning Mrs. India Earth that has brought a lot of change in my life. It has changed me as a person. Through this title, I have got a platform and people actually like my thoughts and ideas and also follow it.

Weirdest brand
brief/request ever

A few days ago, I was contacted by someone associated with a chat application where I was supposed to talk to my fans for 15 seconds and get money.  My personality doesn’t go with this so I was amazed and found it funny at the same time.

If not modeling, you would be?

If not this platform then by now I would have become an actor because that had always been on my mind to see myself on the silver screen and live different personalities.

A day in your life...

My day starts at 5.30 at the break of the dawn, I have a cup of coffee then wake up my daughter as she has school, and I drop her to school. After that, I head to the gym and look after myself. And then later the same thing follows as I also have a son.

So basically, when I am at home, I am a complete family person- be there for them, attend to them. When I am working, I am completely engrossed in my work. I feel it’s very important to draw a line of balance to keep your professional as well as personal life stable.
