Snapchat rolls out new Bitmoji feature - Mix and Match

Snap has rolled out a Mix and Match option for Bitmoji on Android and iOS that lets you customize your virtual persona's clothing on a piece-by-piece basis.

It's now easier to dress your Snapchat Bitmoji avatar to resonate with your personal style. Mix and Match is a new way to dress your Bitmoji that lets you express yourself and be creative through your personal style.

Bitmoji users can put together their own outfits by selecting and customizing individual pieces of clothing, just like in real life.  Billions of options can be unlocked by combining different styles and colors of tops, bottoms, footwear, socks, and outerwear.

Your custom outfits are saved to your closet, so you can always change into an outfit you’ve previously made. Over the next year, clothing options will continue to multiply and Mix and Match will come to the world of branded Bitmoji fashion.

How to use Mix and Match

From the Bitmoji app: Tap on the fashion icon to open the Avatar Designer. In the bottom navigation bar, you’ll see new icons for each piece that you can separately select and customize, like tops, bottoms, outerwear, and footwear.

From Snapchat: Tap on your profile in the top-left corner. Under ‘Bitmoji,’ tap ‘Change Outfit,’ which will open the Avatar Designer. In the bottom navigation bar, you’ll see new icons for each piece that you can separately select and customize like tops, bottoms, outerwear, and footwear.

Mix and Match begins rolling out today for Bitmoji fans on Android and iOS devices worldwide. Fans can also access Bitmojis in the real world through the ‘Bitmoji Merch Sale’ with a 20% off by Snapchat for the holiday season.

While Mix and Match gives fans more options to customize their Bitmoji’s outfits, Bitmoji Merch offers a way to bring your Bitmoji into the real world. The fans can now buy their friends (or themselves) unique gifts such as t-shirts, mugs, sweats and more featuring a Bitmoji or your Friendmoji (two peoples’ Bitmojis in one image) to celebrate your friendship.

Access from Snapchat (iOS, US only): Tap your Bitmoji in the upper lefthand corner to access your profile screen. Then tap ‘Shop Bitmoji Merch’ to access the Snap Store and browse Bitmoji Merch!
