Sarang Patil

Starting his career as a stylist, Sarang Patil chose to be a blogger in sync with the trends as it was new and fancy at the time.

Sarang Patil believes in spending time to read up about the brand and its history. The information helps him create better content that is sync with the brand brief as well as the aesthetics of his blog.

Looking back, where did it all begin?

It all began during the summer vacation in the last of degree college. I was really good with colours and patterns and wanted to get into fashion. My bother supported and pushed me for it. I started my career as a stylist and later became a blogger as the trend was new and fancy.

What's in the name?

It was just a random name that I decided with one of my college friends over a cup of coffee. It was catchy when we first thought about it. He's got the style. After getting it numerologically corrected, it became He is got the style.

What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?

I like to keep it simple and classy for classic things never die. Those who follow the trends just vanish with the trends. To be legendary is my motto while creating content.

Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?

I always research about the brand and its brand image. If I am associating with a brand, I try to create content that goes with the brand's image. When you know the history of the product, you automatically relate to it better.

How do you make moolah with your efforts?

From brand promotions and associations. I take up a lot of styling assignments as well. It helps me be happy and satisfied.

How do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs?

I adjust the aesthetics according to the brand brief, keeping in mind the brand image and history.

One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile

London is a city I had always dreamt of visiting. I got the opportunity to go there on my first international trip because of my efforts in blogging.

Weirdest brand brief/request ever

Briefs by undergarment brands are pretty weird, won't mention names.

If not blogging, you would be?

An artist. I love to paint but just don't get the time to do it. It's also because I am also a bit lazy but yes, I would have been an artist if not a blogger.

A day in your life...

My day starts with meditation, followed by breakfast. No matter the call time, I never skip my breakfast and black coffee. Then, I answer calls, emails and allocate things. Shoots are also planned across the day. I hardly ever work out but I do go for a run when I get the time.

Message/tips for upcoming bloggers
