Samosa Superwomen...
Being passionate about one's field or task is
simply a prerequisite in any industry, but I believe there are a few more that
can go a long way.
Confidence: It's difficult to say that others
won't doubt your skills, but don't let another's opinions get the better of
you. Believe in yourself, always!
Humility: Cherish your accomplishments but also remember where you started from and what your true goals are.

How
successful have women been in shattering the glass ceiling in the Media &
Advertising field? Does the 'boardroom inequality' phrase still stand true?
Women hold less than a fifth of key management
roles, and most companies exercise gender bias for major decision-making roles.
However, I would be remiss to overlook the shift
towards gender neutrality within this industry as women have stepped into the
roles that were once dominated by their male counterparts.
Although I don't believe there should be a
ceiling for anyone, women have been causing cracks for a few years now. The
path may be more onerous for women but it will inevitably shatter.
What are the key changes this industry needs in order to make workplaces gender-neutral, safe, and nurturing?
- Stringent policies to protect the
interests of women and men alike - Gender balance & equal
employment opportunities - Getting rid of gender pay gaps.
