Facebook has launched personalized greetings with Diwali themed Avatars and hashtags to engage in virtual celebrations with friends and family.
The hashtags enable users to participate in Diwali challenges on Facebook and they can also dress their Avatars in traditional outfits.
Hashtags
Users can engage in challenges through the hashtags, by sharing a photo or video of how they are celebrating Diwali at home with their family with the hashtag #DiwaliAtHomeChallenge or create a DIY video of how you recycle light bulbs, candleholders, diyas, and lanterns, and challenge your friends to share their Diwali related DIY projects by using #DIYDiwaliChallenge.
Start a challenge by simply entering a hashtag in English that ends in the word ‘challenge’, when you go to create a new Facebook post or tap on the "Try It" button when you see another Challenges post in the News Feed. Users can add photos and videos to the challenges post this festive season and nominate friends and family to by tagging them.
