Pinterest launches new app called Shuffles

Shuffles by Pinterest is a standalone app that enables creative editing and is designed for collective collaging.

Use case applications outlined for Shuffles by Pinterest include curation of outfits, visualization of sets, creation of mood boards, or collating a series of expressions.

The app is available on iOS, and a version of the app not verified by PlayProtect is available on Play Store. The app enables users to:

• Snap exactly the objects they want using the camera
• Find inspiration in the photo library
• Cut out objects from an image with a single tap
• Layer, rotate, and resize objects into collages
• Add animation and effects to make Shuffles pop
• Share privately with friends to collaborate on creative projects
• Remix other peoples’ Shuffles to put your own spin on someone else’s creation

Photo editing and creation tools have been a focus of the platform lately, and Pinterest has also acquired Vochi, a creative video editing app with an AI-based intuitive video editor.

The tool lets creators choose a sequence and add visual or motion effects that create engaging videos, and the acquisition of this app by Pinterest has been developed to bring these unique capabilities to the platform.

The acquisition of Vochi by Pinterest is intended to democratize tools for creators and enable more video content for consumption and let users watch, make and shop creator ideas. The financial agreements of the deal were not disclosed.
