Cannes Lions 2023 Day 2: India bags first metal with FCB’s gold

Cannes Lions announced their second set of winners across six categories. India bagged a total of six metals.

India commenced its collection of awards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity by securing a Gold, along with three Silver and two Bronze Lions.

FCB India bagged a Gold for 'Untangling the Politics of Hair' for Stir Magazine in the 'Industry Craft' category. The agency also secured the most awards for the night. 

Commenting on the win Swati Bhattacharya, Creative Chairperson, FCB India, said, “Between STIR’s unfettered ambition for this brief, our aspiration for the work, the standards Rohit Chawla, our photographer,  set for making it as evocative as it could be, this is a testament to what being unfettered can achieve for all of us. We fly when we’re unfettered. Jin Jiyan Azadi!”

FCB India also secured two Silver Lions in the Entertainment category. SOS Children’s Villages’ ‘Chatpat’ campaign won in the Influencer & Co-Creation category and Navneet’s Tr. For Teacher in the Social Behaviour & Cultural Insight category.

Apart from FCB’s winning streak, Leo Burnett won a Silver Lion in the Entertainment Lions for Sports category for Airtel's '175 Replayed' campaign. 

DDB Mudra won a Bronze for ‘Machine Gun - Mouth' for Battleground Mobile India in the  Entertainment Lions for Gaming category.

Lastly, Dentsu Creative’s 'The Everything Book' for Vedantu secured a Bronze in the Design category.
