Warrier will be stepping down after three years at the company as the current EVP-Marketing Ruchira Jaitly is set to take on the responsibilities.
Diageo India’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Deepika Warrier is set to step down from the role after three years at the company. Ruchira Jaitly, currently Executive Vice President (EVP) - Marketing, at the company will be taking over the responsibilities as per reports.
Joining the company in 2020, Warrier oversaw marketing and innovation for their alcohol and beverage portfolio. She has an extensive experience in the beverage portfolio as she spent 20 years at PepsiCo India.
Warrier has held the following positions at PepsiCo - MD & CEO at NourishCo Beverages, Vice-President, the nutrition category for the Indian division as well as AMENA (Asia, Middle East and North Africa), based out of Dubai and as the CMO for PepsiCo India. She handled over 20 brands including Kurkure, Lay’s, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Quaker Oats and more. Prior to PepsiCo, she worked with companies like Gillette, Ogilvy and Mather and Britannia Industries.

Jaitly started her career at Unilever as a management trainee working in Sales for personal care products and later branched out into the beverage market with PepsiCo where she built PepsiCo brands - Kurkure and Mountain Dew. Jaitly was responsible for creating award-winning consumer campaigns like Crash the Pepsi IPL, Kurkure launch and Lay’s Flavor World Cup.
She later moved to Royal DSM as she created an F&B Nutrition start-up business unit called MANDI, aimed at combating the challenge of malnutrition, and launched B2C business - NUShakti. Jaitly then branched out to the mobile devices category at HMD Global where she worked on building a product portfolio for Nokia before returning to beverage with Diageo in 2021.
