The electric automobile brand lit up the skies to commemorate the milestone and released a digital video reflecting on the perspective change in consumers for the electric vehicles category.
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility has released a new campaign to commemorate a new milestone of selling 100K electric vehicles (EVs). As per media reports, a total of 120K electric cars have been sold in India, and Tata Motors has the lion’s share.
The company’s journey in the category started in 2019 and just like any other technological advancement, consumers had little reservations about trusting EV. To express how India has driven away from this perspective, Tata released a video that captures the brand’s journey.
Marking the milestone, the automobile brand’s video focuses on the change in consumer patterns after the advent of EV. Walking the audience through Tata’s range of EV cars, the video shows how they are moving forward towards a safer and sustainable future and touches upon their vision of ‘going beyond expectations, promises and expectations.’

The celebratory campaign paved way for a grand drone display by Tata Motors as it illuminated the skies. Starting with the ‘electric sign’ and company name, this OOH activity showed how Electric has made its home across India. The lights later showed an EV car driving in the sky and ended with a call to action ‘Go.EV.’
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, “Today is a momentous occasion for us as we celebrate a very important milestone of 1 Lakh Tata EVs. This milestone gives us a sense of satisfaction that our bold move to enter electrification has helped the acceptance of a technology that will accelerate India towards net carbon zero. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our EV customers, the government, our investors, and the Tata uniEVerse Ecosystem companies for their constant support. Together, we are moving India forward towards green mobility.
“This milestone is a springboard for electrification to grow. It represents the fast-progressing ecosystem, giving confidence to customers, suppliers, charging infra players and investors to deploy new technologies and build capabilities in the industry. Such fast-paced growth will create significant employment across categories of workforce in new technologies while improving our air quality, reducing our oil imports and making India a key hub for EV and EV component manufacturing. We are excited to be a part of this journey as we tap into the immense potential of the Indian auto industry and look forward to many more exciting milestones.”
