X is working to bring changes in push notifications, media grid, playback speed visibility and testing a ‘Top’ tab to rank posts according to the algorithm.
The new round of X updates is here as the platform has been working on adding additional features since Elon Musk took over. There are plans to introduce media grids to the interface, make playback speed visible, changes in push notifications and a top tab in communities.
Andrea Conway, a designer at X has posted that the platform will now include names in push notifications for X Premium subscribers. Users will be able to read who has liked their posts along with the content written.

The platform is also planning to roll out a Grid view for media, which can be used by users to arrange their pictures and videos in a grid view. Conway has teased the new feature which reads "the best is yet to come."

X is also set to make playback speed available on the video itself. Users previously had to click on the menu to check a video's playback speed.

Apart from this, X is testing a ‘Top’ tab which will rank the posts according to an algorithm within communities. This tab will contain the most engaged posts from the Community in the last couple of days. According to Enrique, a Product Engineer at the platform, it is only available to a small percentage of users.

It remains to be seen when these features will be rolled out officially. However, it can be deduced that Elon Musk will only open these new features to X Premium subscribers.
