YouTube has designated Kurt Patat as Global Head of Consumer. Patat would operate YouTube Originals, consumer, creator and music's communications teams.
Patat would report to Chris Dale, Global Head of Communications and Public Affairs, YouTube and he would be based out of Los Angeles.
His core purpose would be strategizing communications and campaigns for steering YouTube's massive user base to their ad-supported and premium services which include YouTube Music, YouTube Originals, YouTube Premium, and more.

He would also work on YouTube's key partnerships with creators, celebrities, major events and more. YouTube's most recent partnership is with Coachella 2019, they would be live-streaming both weekends of the music festival.
Patat joins YouTube with tons of experience. He was Senior Vice President of Communications for Paramount Network and CMT, he held several senior level positions at Viacom and he was also Vice President at MTV and Logo and oversaw consumer media relations for AOL.
In his overall experience, he handled brand and series publicity campaigns for series and music events, led corporate communications, media relations, internal communications and more.
